Do you need a gift for that hard to buy for person?  Let the Pennsylvania State USBC Youth Association help!

We’re pleased to share some exciting news about a new fundraising program for our organization.  It’s called “scrip”, and it’s the fundraising program that works while you shop. Scrip is simply a word that means “substitute money” – in other words, scrip is gift certificates from national and local retailers.  They’re the same gift certificates that you buy at the store.  Many popular retailers participate in our scrip program including JC Penney, The Gap, Shell, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster and many, many others.

 

You’re probably asking yourself how these stores help us raise money.  It’s simple -- scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount.  Member families like yours buy the certificates for full face value, they redeem them for full face value, and our association keeps the difference as revenue.  And scrip is exciting, because everybody wins:

• The retailer gets cash up front and repeat business…
• You get a powerful fundraising alternative that involves no selling…
• Our Association gets a regular source of revenue.

The beauty of scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our association without spending a single additional penny.  Just spend your regular shopping dollars with scrip at the stores that participate in the scrip program!  And scrip can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out.

Attached is a list of different stores, restaurants, hotels and more for which gift certificates can be purchased. You will find that the list includes many of the stores and restaurants where you may now go frequently. The list includes the percentage of your purchase that we will receive from the sale of each gift certificate. 

Save yourself some time and agony!  Purchase gift certificates for your own personal use or as special gifts for those difficult to buy for people. This is a great way to support the PA State USBC Youth Scholarship fund without spending extra money.  Don’t forget the Holidays or Birthdays! Gift Cards make great gifts!

Simply fill out the order form, the quantity and total dollar amount for each gift certificate you want to purchase.  Enter the total quantity and dollar amount for all certificates at the bottom of the form.  Send the order form and a check or money order (preferred), made payable to the Pennsylvania State USBC Youth Association, for the total dollar amount of all the certificates you want to purchase and mail to 809 Nightlight Dr, York, PA  17402-8809.  All orders will be mailed to you for your convenience.   

ALL ORDERS WILL BE PROCEESED WITH THE GIFT CARD SUPPLIER THE FIRST OF EACH MONTH. PERSONAL CHECKS MUST HAVE CLEARED BANK PRIOR TO THE CARDS BEING ORDERED.   Please check the appropriate box on the order form if you would like an e-mail reminder and order form.  Remember gift certificates are like cash.
