These ideas came from various Association leaders from across the state, and we thank them sincerely for the effort and sincerity that they put into this.

Championships Tournament

Topic -  What suggestions do you have to improve the state youth association's championships tournament and it's participation?

1.       Quality of Centers

2.       Scholarship – Deficit before leaving home

3.       Move event to April, or even Oct or Nov to increase entries

4.       Promote entry even if not winning in local tournament.

5.       Re-Entry on-site – Walk ins.

6.       Extend from 2 to 3 weekends.

7.       Get professional bowler to attend.

8.       Give the information more to the parents.

9.       Parents Day at Center to promote events.

10.   Additional local tournament just to win an entry

11.   Website for youth events

12.   Rotation of tournament host – East/Central/West

13.   Get Prop. More involved.

14.   Friday night Youth Activity

15.   Donations from Local Associations toward scholarships.

 

Pepsi Youth Bowling Championships

Topic - What suggestions do you have to improve the Pepsi Youth Championships Tournament and it's participation?

1.       Communication at the local level.

2.       Advertisement from Pepsi to hang in centers.

3.       Change ratio to increase entries.

4.       Get centers who do not participate to start.

5.       More consistent oil pattern (Districts and States)

6.       More freebies (local host, plus state)

7.       Get centers to bid who are not under Pepsi contract.

8.       Centers to offset cost of kids bowling.

9.       Losers bracket or optional event for those who don’t make day 1 cut at State Finals.

10.   Handicap Division Winners get National Open Championships Entry

11.   Move Divisions to Average from Age

12.   Have Adult/Youth Tournament as a side event.
